Brand Identity & Design
What do we create in a brand identity project?
Every brand starts somewhere different. Some need a new identity; others benefit from keeping their logo while refreshing colors, typography and the wider design system. We define the scope based on how the identity will be used.
Logo and identity system
New logo design or review of an existing mark, including the required versions and usage needs.
Color and typography
Core design decisions that help the brand remain consistent online and in print.
Corporate applications
Business cards, presentations, stationery, digital templates and other agreed materials.
Campaign and social media identity
Adaptation of the visual language to advertising creative, social content and other communications.
Usage guidelines
Where needed, a practical document setting out logo use, colors, typography and key visual principles.
An identity should work, not just look good
We think about how the identity behaves in different formats from the start. Legibility and consistency matter on both a small social post and a large presentation.
Delivering a standalone logo and creating a wider visual system are different scopes. We decide which is appropriate after reviewing your existing materials and needs.
Our brand identity process
01 — Learn about the brand
We gather information about the business, audience, competitors, personality and channels.
02 — Set the direction
We agree on the visual approach and the decisions the project must resolve.
03 — Develop the designs
We prepare the agreed identity elements and applications.
04 — Prepare delivery
We supply approved assets in the agreed formats and clarify how they should be used.
Identity design versus creative consulting
Brand identity concerns how the brand looks and stays consistent across touchpoints. Creative consulting concerns campaign messaging, concepts and communication direction.
They can support each other, but purchasing one does not automatically include every deliverable of the other.
Is corporate identity only logo design?
No. A logo is one element; colors, typography, visual systems and corporate applications may also be included where needed.
Can we refresh our identity without replacing the logo?
Yes. An existing logo can be retained while the surrounding design language and usage system are updated.
Which files will you deliver?
Formats and the number of applications are agreed based on intended use and the proposal.
How long does brand identity design take?
Timing depends on research, design, revisions and the number of applications. We set a schedule when the scope is clear.
